“Hospital Psychosis”! I have never heard of such a thing. I'm glad you are over that problem and getting adjusted into normal ever day life with the bag.

I'm 70, retired heat/air contractor. After 4 months of keymo ileal conduit (IC) surgery removed bladder & prostate May 2010

Herb

You have passed through the gates of Hell and Came back! As a man of the cloth, we knew you would. Your attitude seems to be exceptional as we would expect. You now will be an inspiration to all of us. The combination of human expertise and Heavenly inspiration will have you back in the pulpit soon.

Just remember, the Congregation's wish for a 10 minute sermon is still on!

I am thinking this experience will certainly have a positive effect on your ministry to others.

I've always wanted to say "You've been to Hell and Back" to someone who has more knowledge about those things than I.

Welcome back to this site! We are proud of you!

Hospital Psychosis is usually a result of reacting to a drug or a drug and anesthesia.
When my husband had his first bypass surgery..5 of them at age 41...20 minutes after they gave him his percodan he would glaze over..look at me and ask me who i was and i would tell him and then he would say..I know that..then he would look at his chest and panic and ask what happened to him and i would tell him and he would say..I know that.......his blood pressure would skyrocket along with pulse.....that night his roommate called me at 2 in the morning and said he was going into all the hospital rooms and telling patients he knew an escape route. He was convinced he was a patient in a Nazi Concentration facility. I called his Doctor at 2 a.m. and met him at the hospital and doctor proceeded to chew out the nurses and have him transfered to a newer section of the hospital. I slept in the empty bed next to him. The next morning he awoke and looked at me and asked "What are you doing here?"......We went with tylenol after that one!!
