It's ok, trust me I have done my research. The best advice is go to a major center and get a second opinon.

Thanks to all of you that have responded. I have many more questions but firstn I'll give you some info.

My husband just turned 50 in Sept. We are very happy with this Dr. he is our second opinon dr. He has 26 yrs. at OSHU before private practice. We were refered to him by 2 other leading oncologists. He is having a neobladder done by the DaVinci Robot. The Dr. is forming the new bladder inside instead of pulling the intestine out of the body and making the pouch. He had done many robotic bladder surgeries somewhere around 50. Anyway he is in surgery now. They said up to 7 hrs. So I am waiting.

Just before my uro removed the cath (about 10 days after hosp release0, he said that I might have trouble urinating. Well I had a fountain and remarked to him that it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I'm with ya. I had a cath in four weeks. When they took it out,
then it was time to void every two hours for a week, then every three hours for a week, etc. Month two lasted a year!
Month three went pretty good, and I stated to feel a whole lot better.
