Thanks everybody! I got out of the hospital yesterday. No more pains. Mother in law was rushed to hospital and treated right away. They surgically removed most of the clot in the brain. She opened her eyes today and is trying to talk. She can mouth the words but has a trach breathing tube in now. The Ritalin they gave her today seems to have waken her. Eyes are fixed, dilated and unrespinsive but no paralysis. Probably be a long recovery but at least we know she is in there. Nods and shakes head and mouths answers to questions. Smiles when listening to other daughters on the phone. Promising stuff!

Mike,

They say trouble comes in threes so hope that isn't the case for you. You've enough on your mind with trying to get well so you can help out with other family members. I'll pray you are up and out of that hospital very soon and hope your mother-in-law got immediate treatment for her stroke...that seems to be key for recovery...the amount of time thas passes following the actual stroke. Take care, Melodie

Hey Mike!
You have my every sympathy being stuck in hospital on IV drips - guess where I have been since the early hours of Tuesday morning? Yep - stuck in hospital etc...! Came in with a temp of 40.3 (celsius). This was due to an infected Hickman Line so 'Herbert' and I have now parted company! Unfortunately I was unable to have my final chemo session but should get it next week instead. Can't complain too much about the hospital though.
Let's have race to see who gets discharged first!
Hope you feel better soon.
Anne
