Last week I had my first 3 month check up after my RC in Sept. The path reports after surgery showed that the cancer was completely contained in the bladder. There was no muscle invasion or lympth lode involvement.
When I received my CT scan report yesterday, I went into shock. The report said "soft tissue prominence in the area of the vagina". The nurse told me that it "could be" something from the surgery. Dr. Bochner just said that he wants to see me in 2 months rather than 3.
What is this? Is it something to worry about for the next 2 months? Should I press to see the doctor sooner? I think I have always been in denial with this cancer and I can't believe it could be something bad. My recuperation has been so smooth and fast. I finally was feeling normal again and then boom!! Another part of me says, yeh, it could be back but then why would Dr. Bochner wait 2 months if he thought it was cancer. He is such a thorough doctor and I trust him.
Anyone else have such an experience?
Thanks, Nancy
