The news sounds bittersweet indeed. Surgery and chemo and radiation sounds like a difficult road. I have a friend who had to have too surgeries because the surgeon thought the margins were not clear enough. She is now over a year from the chemo and radiation and is making good progress with no evidence of disease.
I'll keep you in my prayers. I hope the rest of your birthday was a happy one. My daughter leaves before mine and my sister and mum arrive after so I will have two celebrations. I'm off to take Dick to the Cancer Center for a blood transfusion his hemoglobin was too low this week. Julie

Dear Anne......it does seem like it never stops, doesn't it? I am so sorry you will have to endure surgery and followup treatments but - at least you are still here! (My husband said that to me yesterday when he reminded me that it was one year ago exactly that I had my surgery).

You are strong and will beat this, Anne - and you will always have a host of cheerleaders when you need them!

Hi Anne,
Just read your post, was wondering how things were going with you. yeah, what a birthday present. But I think you are strong and positive, and as i understand things, yes it is a better prognosis that it is not a secondary bladder cancer. Do you know yet when they will start surgery/treatment ?
Thinking of you,
Flamenco

Just to let you all know that my Urologist and his team have decided that my current breast tumour is NOT a bladder secondary! Although this is not exactly brilliant news as it means I still have cancer at least it is a much better prognosis.
I will now need further surgery as they did not manage to remove all of the tumour followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!! (not)What a birthday present?!
Keep you posted!
Anne
