calcification in the bladder after 6 sessions of gemzar/docetaxel treatment

2 years 9 months ago #60839 by Bills
Hi ff99
My farther had hematuria in Sep 2020 and we did USG and CT scan which reveal 1.6*0.8mm focal calcification of UB. Uro did cystoscopy and wrote papillary growth in bladder. TURBT and biopsy revealed HG PaP Ca.

Please get all the results and test till pathology lab. Pathology is the  decider.

Thanks

While I have heard about calcification in the bladder, I haven't read nor run across much on it. If you are asking about doing a biopsy, it sounds like it should be done to see what it is. Especially after 6 bladder treatments. Imaging tests do not give a diagnosis. Also, you simply will not know much until the pathology report is done.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

Has anybody encountered calcification in the bladder? If so, what did you do about it. My Doc wants to obtain some biopsies to see whether the calcifications are cancerous or not.
Thank you for any feed-back.
