Sara, how is BCG irritation/cystitis determined? How did you know you had it during BCG?

8/20 tumor found, 2 TURB with stent, tumor resected from bladder, another portion lasered from ureter, Toa,papillary urothelial carcinoma, non-invasive, high grade, BCG began Oct 22,2020

Yes, it could be scar tissue from the biopsies or it could be something call BCG-cystitis. BCG can be very irritating to the bladder lining. Not time to panic yet! Multiple times I had to delay additional BCG treatments due to BCG induced irritation.

Had cysto yesterday 6 weeks after bcg treatment. Doc sees more inflammation on left side of bladder than on the right. Said it could be scar tissue on left due to two previous biopsies done. I'll have cytology results tomorrow. If negative, I follow up in 3 months. If positive, he will do biopsy. Anyone have an experience like this? I'm so scared.
