Keytruda is now approved for SOME non-invasive bladder cancer. Approval was in mid January, I had been told that I could expect more info from my treaters in mid February, but that time frame is slipping toward late March.

The target group (subject to change) is described as:
"Typically, bladder removal surgery is recommended if a patient’s high-risk NMIBC is no longer responding to other treatments. If your tumor is a type called carcinoma in situ (CIS), you have tried BCG treatment and it did not work, and you are not able to or have decided not to remove your bladder, KEYTRUDA, an immunotherapy treatment, may be an option."

The new Keytruda website is finally up on the web and worth a read and discussion with your doc if the available options are running out. As always, our mileage may vary, and there are no refunds after the music begins.

To be precise, that drug will only be adequate for non-responsive high risk invasive cancer, which is a prejudicial condition for its application, but not for cases of non-invasive muscle cancer, even if at high risk.

Not sure if anyone posted this but looks like a new drug has been approved for treatment of NMIBC. First new drug in 20 years. Here's a link. Hope it works.
