If I was told this, I would be ecstatic.

I think the optimism your doctor is giving you - 3 BCG treatments and monitoring is super positive.

I say any port in the storm - and this one sounds like an excellent place to hold up for a few months :)

Results are in today. Doctor says the spots are a couple areas of low grade and 1 focal point is a high grade. The doctor recommended 3 BCG treatments in January - and then re-check in April.

I'm curious what your thoughts are. Am I wrong to think that - while this is not the best news - it also its encouraging that at least is now low grade (which it was not before) and only one spot of high grade.

THank you in advance for your thoughtful input and taking the time.

Easy for those of us that have been free of this for several years to say not to worry. I am not sure it ever leaves completely as so many cancers do recur. At the same time I have learned it is one day at a time, concern yes put the worry away if you can. So many times health issues are less than what we imagine. If they are serious so many times they are correctable and we go on.

Men vs women here? Perhaps Sara Anne or Cynthia have numbers but, I would guess it is close to 50/50.

DX 5/6/2008 TAG3 papillary tumor .5 CM in size. 2 TURBS followed by 6 instillations of BCG weekly with a second round of 6 after a 6 week wait.

We saw red spots on my 2nd cystoscopy before I began 2nd round of BCG.

Doc zoomed in, looked closely from multiple angles and moved on.

As mentioned - only patho will give the full story.

Try to keep a positive outlook, I know the worrying is hard.

Thank you all so much for your insight. The sense of community is a real blessing.

Prayers that these ‘red spots” are not anything to be concerned with.

I will keep you posted.
