Jim, an elevated sed rate is one of those completely vague lab results that most often have no explanation. One reason I have been told that it is done so often is that it is relatively "cheap." Sometimes it can indicate inflammation
which would be logical post-TURB. It is definitely not something to worry about but would be worth asking your doctor about the next time you see him/her.
