Hello. Sorry to hear that the cancer is back. My mom has been battling superficial bladder cancer for the last 6 yrs. Though chemo was mentioned as an option, we have always been told that it is not very effective for bladder cancer. The strongest defense we have is BCG. When the doctor mentioned chemo, did he mean that he would place mitomycin C (chemo agent) into your bladder after the turbt? This is how it is usually administered. Whenever my mom has a turbt, mitomycin C is usually given. My mom has never had any problems with it. Good Luck!
