Marlene, you are absolutely in the right place!!!!

It may take a while longer for your bladder to "settle down" after the BCG treatments. It IS very irritating......The purpose of it is to stimulate the immune response in the bladder lining so that it rejects any cancer cells that are present and this often results in a very sore bladder!

However, be sure to discuss any concerns such as this that you have with your urologist. I often found it more efficient to talk on the phone with his nurse.
She was easier to get a hold of and would pave the way for me to speak directly to him if needed.

I have finished my BCG treatments and in 4th wk of waiting. My concern is that I have the same symptoms that I had before and during BCG. Symptoms include a hurting of the urethra (not burning), urgency & frequency. All resembling a bladder infection but I never have one. I worry that I am not getting any better. Should I see any lessening of symptoms? I am not sure if I am writing in the proper space of if this will get where it should be. Sorry!
