Had my annual physical in December with my GP and my urine showed inflammation, bacteria and trace of blood. Had urine test redone no inflammation, bacteria or blood.
Decided to move my annual cysto up to February which is over 6 years from date of dx and 6 years from first possible recurrence. Bladder look real good, could still see scaring and cytology showed no cancer cells but acute inflamation.
Decided to have CT urography scan and bladder looks good however close to the scarring where my initial tumor was in the very low end of the ureter there is a thickening of the ureter wall. Uro cannot tell from CT urogram if scarring or new lesion. Thickening has not impacted kidney function.
Scheduled for look and biopsy into the left ureter on the 13th. Was told and research only 2-4% change of spreading from bladder to urerter, very rare. Hopefully I am not in that percentage. If tumor hope for low grade.
Joey, I know that you are worried (OK, not worried, "concerned") and I would be also. You just can't help it. However, do remember that you have had multiple surgeries (TURBs) and probably BCG (can't remember if you did this or not) and these do a number on your bladder. Probably that is what is showing up here.
Will keep good thoughts for you.

Sara, thanks. yes I had 30 BCG full strength over the years. The problem is the thickening is in the distal ureter right above where my tumor was in my bladder. I guess scarring could be in that part of the ureter also. I do know the scarring in the bladder at that spot is still there. Otherwise the bladder looks good. I wonder if there is cancer in the ureter would that also shed cancer cells in the urine, as my cytology was clean.
