I had my "red spots" biopsied last week and got the news two days ago that it was just irritation from the BCG. I'm with Mike, as much as I hate being put under, I was glad they did for this. I'm betting yours are also just scar spots or irritation from past treatments. Good luck.

Awww. Now you're making me blush!

Vent away. I'm sure these spots are no big deal and I have a way with these things. :)

you didnt mess up Mike! I had the cancerous tumors removed the first time! Non-invasive and I guess superficial, but it is in there but not nearly as bad as many other folks. I just feel great that I can come here and vent and learn! You folks are wonderful.

2/2011: diagnosed with non invasive Type1 stage1...and had turbt in march....first follow up 5/19/11, had laser again as it re-occurred.
10/12/2011 TURPT with more bladder laser....still non invasive..
11/17/14 diag. with CIS non invasive, beginning BCG 11/26/14
2/2015 BCG did not work, had another...

OK. I messed up. Forgot you had just "stuff" and not bladder cancer. NO REASON to worry!!! My fault and I apologize.

Your doc is correct and there is nothing to worry about now. Really.

You should be fine to get this dealt with in the office because they don't have take much other than just getting the small spots.

Mike

Hi folks, no I have not had BCG, and the first operation was to remove the non invasive tumors, the second was to do the turpT, the third was that he did not like what he saw on a cysto but the biopsy came back negative (scar tissue), the fourth was the same but he had to take more of the prostate because it grew back somewhat, biopsy was negative. This would have been #5 I guess.

So, after the cysto he told me the red spots were nothing to be concerned about unless the urine test came back with something. So far it has not. So he said he could do another cysto in the office and remove or scrape or whatever the reddish spots in about 2 minutes.

What is CIS? I need to look that up. Right now I am not freaking out, just my normal panic attacks! LOL

If it's all not even precancerous you should be fine.

Has he taken any samples previously from you in the office setting? Some people can handle that little sampling without any problem but not me. :)
