Newly Diagnosed

I understand how you are feeling...it IS a shock to get such a diagnosis. You will find that the more you learn about it, and as time passes, you will learn to relax a bit.

You are very fortunate so far (doesn't feel like it, does it?) because you appear to have a low grade tumor, found very early. The reason for the 3 month checkup schedule is that these little devils can keep reappearing. If you, and your uro, keep on top of this, as you seem to be doing, they can be removed easily...or, if there were to be any progression, it would be dealt with early.

Please know that there are lots of people here who have "been there, done that." You can ask any questions and we will try to help you.

I'm glad to have found out about the American Bladder Cancer Society. I can use the information and support. I was just diagnosed three months ago. I had one tumor in my bladder and had it removed the next day. They say it's Non Invasive Superficial low grade cancer. Even so it scared me pretty bad. At first I would wake up in the mornings and I had this fear. The more I thought about it the worst the fear got. I worried that it might come back and spread to other organs. I've had some anger also. Now I'm starting to except it more so and move on with my life. Does anybody know of any financial help out there? I have insurance but they did not pay for some of my stuff that was done. And now my Urologist has to check me every three months and I'm left with around a four or five hundred dollar bill. I would be thankful for any advice on this and on my emotional roller coaster.
