I am locking this topic not because it is not important but because this post has gotten very long and hard for others to follow its twist and turns. Please start a new post so we can follow along further.

Actually Mike there really is a female version of the male condom catheter but its very expensive and looks really wierd...can't imagine how you would place it....you have to see it to try to figure that one out. I sent a pic to Holly of it as i thought at least maybe for one nights good sleep!!!....I guess if it actually worked and you could get a script that insurance would pay for it it might be some relief.

might be worth a try?

Ooops!:silly:

Sorry Nix. I didn't look at your footer to see that you were female...

Forget about those condom catheters!

Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry....

Some days I am just a knuckle-headed dimwit!

:S

I guess the butterfly icon should have given me a clue, but these days, you never know. I tend not to look at the icons unless they are pictures....even then, it is sometimes a group shot so I'm not always sure who I'm talking to. :)

Nix,

Just a thought....

Have you considered using a condom catheter at night? I never heard of them until after I had my RC, but if I had, I would have been using them because of my problems with enlarged prostate. I used to be up about every hour ro hour and half because of it.

It might not help, but it may be worth checking out. I wouldn't recommend the reusable ones (even though I haven't tried them). Just seems like a better idea to use once and dispose.

OK - I did see the Uro today, (was not going to be denied). The first thing he said was "you look tired" - gee, you think - 16 nights getting up every hour - oh well. He did a visual sonagram - and said it is inflammation. Sending the urine out for a culture and gave he an antibiotic, an yet another med for frequent urination (which I don't think will work until some of the inflammation goes.
So we are off to Vermont to see grandbabies, if I don't notice some improvement in a couple of days - call and he will call in another antibiotic.
Thank you to all for your support
Wishing all of you clean cystos and happy days

Nix
