Just came from my cysto -- all clear! Have had two all clears now since having a recurrence last June and TURBT last July. Now, I can start the 3-weeks maintenance BCG (Jan 16th).

Wishing the same good news for fellow check-up "buddies." :)

I'm scheduled for cysto this Monday (Jan. 5), then 3 weeks of maintenance BCG starting on January 16th. Was all clear in late October after the 6 weeks BCG in August.-Sept. Feeling fine, and not too worried (perpetual optimist).

My next one is scheduled for January 8,09 at Hopkins. Original DX TA low grade 12/07. 6 BCG treatments minor side effects. First follow up 04/08 cytology and fish tests were negative and three pathologist saw atypcial cells, one said focal CIS. In May had Turb to remove more of questionable area, two different pathologist saw normal cells and no sign of cancer, kidney wash was normal, same pathologist as before saw same focal CIS. Follow up cysto July all clear, October cysto showed displaysia. Because of internal BCG impact ( very inflammed and crust like material formed over tumor site)have not had maintenance yet. Most likely to start maintenance in January if nothing significant is found. First time I am feeling as best can be described like a pressure point at the site and I am wondering if it can be scar tissue issue around the left ureter which was the tumor site. I previously had a stent in twice, once for two weeks and several months later again for 8 weeks. There is zero pain and no blood and this "pressure point" only happens once in awhile. Just hope it is nothing invading the bladder muscle. It is great to hear so many positive results.
