MAYBE this is just scar tissue from earlier work - but if you are concerned phone your urologists for an interpretation/explanation.

It is hard to ask all the questions and remember them during the appointment - I am sure the specialists and their staff realise this and I've found that they are all too willing to 'hand hold' and answer questions on the phone.

We also have an excellent service in Britain, a Charity called CancerBackup - they are on the web at: www.CancerBackup.org.UK and they also run a help line for ALL Cancer victims and carers on: 0800 - 800 1234. They are incredibly helpful and their help lines are staffed by trained staff.

No one source tends to be adequate which is why The JamesWhaleFund is expanding with a Forum on www.JamesWhaleFund.org based on their Kidney Cancer Charity - useful to a growing number as Kidney Cancer zaps around 6,000 a year in the UK and is often followed by bladder cancer and sometimes by other metastises.

Anyway - YOU will find your best way of dealing with YOUR specific problem but always remember there are people out there to help both medical teams and fellow followers on the Cancer Challenge.

I don't know if this helps, but it comes straight from the notes of my CT Scan:

IMPRESSION:
There is a 1.0 centimeter wall thickening in the right posterolateral aspect of the bladder without evidence of hydronephrosis. The fat plane between the bladder and the vagina is preserved. This is consistent with the patient's history of bladder carcinoma...

My primary care doctor called yesterday late and said the last ct scan I had showed that the walls of my bladder had thickened. He said it may be due to the surgery but he didn't know much about that. Does anyone know what that is about and will it cause me trouble of any kind? thank you all. elaine
