Gina, you can explore options for a second opinion now. Often it takes some time to get an appointment. You will need to get a copy of the pathology report as you want to know if they got a sufficient border to determine if there is muscle involvement. Many people send their slides to another pathologist for a second opinion also. Julie

they now either go high grade or low grade.....so the former Grades 1& 2 is low grade and everything over that is high grade.

oh pat thanks so much!! i think i'll look into one of the "cancer" specialists for the second opinion!!...thank you again for your time in looking these up!...

rosemary...sorry about "taking over" dave's thread...didn't mean to...gina

also...in addition to cis i also have a superficial, high grade papillary tumor....tell me if i'm wrong...but, would that be a T1 G3??

pat..we live in michigan...near ann arbor..u of m hospital is close by...that's where i will be going to get a second opinion...my current uro is closer to home...but, hey...the drive is worth the trip!! thanks..gina

Hi Gina...yep tell her you're not 3yrs old and can handle big words...BCG is the correct treatment for CIS ... but i think its always a good idea to get a second opinion ...this isn't a wart....its cancer......I'm not sure being in the middle of treatment would be the time to do it...i would have to defer to someone else on that...
