The inflamation and frequency your husband is experiencing after BCG is fairly common, with some, like your husband -- and myself -- being exceptionally affected, even to the point of red, puffy "pustules" - or "bullous edema" which is what I had.
As for drugs which might help with the frequency, I found that Enablex helped a lot, but healing over time is most effective. It WILL get better over the next few weeks. Good luck!

I'm only on my 2nd instillment but I can see a pattern arising. I have some pain from the instillment for 24 to 36 hrs then frequency of urination starting about 3 days after. This usually lasts for 2 0r 3 days. I did have relief from Bladder spasms after TURB using Pyridium but so far I haven't had to use it again.
I guess everybody reacts differently.
Best wishes to you both

Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.
Steve completed his last lot of maintenance treatment on 21st December. He had 3 instillations at full strength which is the normal procedure here in the UK. They do not use weaker solutions, but may cut down on instillations if side effects become worrisome. However, first and second instillation, a breeze, third one has caused frequent urination. Every two hours, 24/7. For four weeks. Has anyone else suffered like this? Urine culture has been tested. 'Pustules'present but no infection. Steve reckons his bladder is just red raw from too much bcg and he has got to live with it until it heals. I notice some of you have been prescribed drugs for frequency, but that does not seem to be the case here. He is finding it hard to run his business and socialise to any great extent as his life is spent in the loo! So far, he has had 6 bcg, then 3, then 2, then 3. He blames me for having 3 bcgs this time as his last biopsy showed atypical cells (his original diagnosis was T1G3 + CIS) and I said go for 3 just to be safe. Feedback welcomed. Ceri
