Don,

I had mitomycin installed after TURBT, but was under anaesthetic. Did not know how I responded until my doctor came in and said that I kept wanting to get up - but I don't remember anything.

I'm quite surprised that such a treatment would be given without the patient's knowledge or consent. Did the doc offer any reason for doing it that way?

Hi Don, I did not know I was given the mitomycin until I got sick 2 days after my turb . I had been skiing after my turb and thought I had over done it. I had alot of aching, headache and just not feeling very good so I called my uro, thats when I found out he gave me the chemo. I only felt bad for a couple of days then I was fine. I felt worse he gave me chemo without my consent than I did getting the chemo. Rocky

Hmmm. Never thought about how that sounded. :P I haven't had gonnorrhea, so I wasn't speaking from personal experience. :-[ Although, I have seen it as a physician, and I'll never forget the first time I saw it as an intern in the emergency room. This matronly lady brings her 15 year old son into the room, sits down and says to the boy, "SHOW HIM!"
