Max,

You are correct -- we are in this thing 24/7 -- but it's Christmas and that gives us a time to take a deep breath and hope for a better year next year. Can't get hold of my doc right now anyway -- he's skiing in Switzerland. Will get back on this in January.

Merry Christmas to you and your family,

David,
First thing that came to mind when I read your post
was maybe you ought to talk to your doctor.
This is not much help,I know....But when I have
anything unusual happen thats what I do.
Yeah,I know...Sunday..weekend before Christmas...
Usually theres someone covering in case of emergency.
This disease never leaves you alone..Damn thing.
Anyway,I hope you don't have any further difficulty
and that you can enjoy Christmas.

David,

I had a prostate biopsy done last summer and I was told I could see blood for up to 6 weeks. My guess is that removal of part of the prostate would lead to a similar recovery - again, just guessing because I am not in the medical field.

Merry Christmas to all,

Ross

Max, Jack/Melanie, anyone with input....

On Nov 30 I had a TURBT plus removal of a small part of my prostate and now, over three weeks later I'm still having burning, urgency, blood and tissue shedding. Is this normal after over 3 weeks? Hoping it will subside by Jan 11 when I'm due to start Mitomycin C treatments. What a nuisance, especially at Christmas :P -- but then I'm blessed that all the tumors, both papillary and CIS were noninvasive.

Merry Christmas all,

David

Max;

Please, try to be at peace. I had a near exact situation in August 2007. Went in for a scope and found that the bladder was fine. I had prostate surgery in May 2006 and the prostate still had not entirely healed and was "shedding" tissue. Please let us know the out come. You are in our prayers and thoughts.
