I really needed that, I am going to encourage my dad on this topic, hopefully he may want to do something like this too! I am so glad that you and your husband did that! It sounds wonderful and beautiful.

Karen,

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful experience. I spend my life, lately, very stressed and worried about my husband that I have no enjoyment in my life anymore. I think that the unknown is the worse right now for us. Not knowing if this round of chemo will work or not. I will try to remember your advise and try to enjoy him and our family time together more. Thanks again, Aimeth

Karen,
Great post, we drove to michigan for one nite at the new MGM casino, the drive was gorgeous, and Gene didn't spring a leak in his bag so thats one accomplishment he feared. I think the scare of bladder cancer, in any phase, brings you close to death in your mind, it reminds you of what a short time we may have on this earth, so go out and enjoy....especially the ones who weren't as fortuneate.
Glad you had a great time.you both deserve it!!!

Clara,

I am so glad that Bob seems to be getting on so well!!! My husband wants to get to Cherokee for some gaming...maybe another weekend. There is a festival Market on the 30th of Nov. that we would like to take the kids too. Hopefully this will be a decent month, and he will be up to it.

Love you too,
Karen

Karen,
So happy to hear that you did the balloon ride!

We went to Maggie Valley and Cherokee last week; Bob made the trip good so we are leaving for Sunset Beach area on Sunday for a week. Bob's son lives in that area.
Another couple is going with us and we are planning on a good time.

Love You
Clara

I have a suggestion for all of those dealing with Metastatic Bladder Cancer...

Treatments are very important, but living is also important...As you are striving to gain extra time...Do something with that time you are fighting so hard to get....
