I cannot be original here all I can do is echo what others have said. I'm saddened that our good friend Mike will leave us. Mike was a BC mentor to me when I needed a velvet glove approach when Jim was first diagnosed. I told Mike I have never been so frightened before. He knew just the right things I needed to hear and the push in the right direction. Mike, I will miss you and I've thanked you before but thank you from the bottom of my heart. Liz, you are so blessed to have had Mike as your husband. If he was even a third as good a husband, and I'm sure he is, as he has been a friend to many here you are one lucky woman. Know we hold you, Mike, and your family in our hearts and prayers. Carla

If I could create a flowchart (and we all know how much Mike loves flowcharts) on "How To Be An Exceptional Human Being", every decision box would have a "Yes" arrow that would point to Mike.

Mike... thanks from the bottom of my heart for all your posts that helped pull me out of the darkness of that first year. I felt like I had been adopted by an incredible family here... and I was.

You will always feel like that brother who can pat you on the back, or kick you in the butt, depending on what you need on any given day. And to echo Sara Anne's post... Mike and Liz, we love you!

Best wishes... Catherine
