Glad to hear that it seems to be working. I haven't experienced (and hope to never experience) mets so I've not had the chemo.

Just wanted you to know that we're reading your posts and rooting for your husband!!!

Hello quinlanm... I'm glad your husband found something that worked for his pain and thanks for passing that along. I can't answer your questions about the MVAC, but I did want to wish you the best for your upcoming appointment on Feb. 1st.

Best wishes to both of you...
Catherine

My husband is completing 6 cycles of MVAC this month. He has tolerated the chemo really well. Of course, he has had the side effects, nausea, fatigue, hair loss, etc. Last thursday, he had the vinblastin, cisplatin, adrymicin part of it and friday morning he had the nuelasta shot. Friday night he had excruciating lower back pain. The Dr told him to take Allegra for the pain caused by the neulasta shot and he did. The pain quieted down some. (he also took 30 mg hydr before the Allegra). I get scared when these things come up, but wanted to share that it seemed to work. Feb 1st, we meet with the Dr again and he has told us that we will have more options available to us. Not sure what that means. Has anyone else endured 6 cycles of MVAC?
