Because of the pain I have been in they were afraid of mets to the bones so last Monday I had a back X-Ray and a bone scan. Then on Tuesday I had my ct. scan. The bone scan showed severe arthritis with very back degeneration of the lower spine and thankfully no mets. My ct. scan showed that the two lymph nodes had calcified which he said is good and there were no mets to the liver and the bad spot in my left kidney was gone. He was very pleased with the results and of course I am too. I have my last regular chemo on Friday and going forward he wants to do a low dose of gemzar, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. He said urothelial carcinoma is so aggressive and always looking for somewhere to go he doesn't want to take any chances. I am willing to try and see how it goes. I feel very blessed with these results. Dr. Magnifico thinks that if I get the arthritis pain u nder control things will be a lot better and I believe he is right. I am going to physical therapy and as soon as it gets warm enough I will be able to walk in our pool so we will see how it goes. For now I am so incredibly thankful that we can keep this under control.
Blessings....Jean
