Not an expert in this area, but do remember a number of people with relatively new "arrangements" who have run into mucus issues. Hopefully we will hear some suggestions from some of them. It is more likely that the piece of intestine just isn't used to being a bladder yet....

Hi Everyone- My husband was released from the Pittsburgh hospital tonite. He had a terrible UTI Saturday and my son took him to the hospital. While in the hospital, his catheter kept on plugging up with mucous. What a nightmare. Now the urogolist wants hime to catheter atleast 3x a day because of all of the mocous. I don't know if it's because of his cancer reappearing and he had one chemo treatment.Does anyone catheter that often? Thanks! Alanna from Pa
