Just a quick update.
I had the first Zometa infusion 2 weeks ago. I felt 'off' the following day, which is apparently quite normal, but that soon passed.
I went to the regional cancer centre yesterday to get measured up and tattooed for my radiotherapy. I start a 5 day course tomorrow - Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and finishing on Wednesday. At least I get the weekend off!
Today saw me at the local hospital to see my Uro surgeon. He is happy that I am getting the treatment I need and also reassured me that the armpit biopsy done at my recent breast clinic appointment showed no evidence of cancer cells. Shame the breast surgeon who did the biopsy could not be bothered to tell me that but well...? Hence why we prefer to deal with the Uro guy!
Hope I am well enough to enjoy my trip to see The Mighty Status Quo on 8th December!
Then I have my second Zometa infusion on 15th before setting off to Bahrain for a well earned rest!
