Mom had to be re-certified for Hospice yesterdy and so the doctor came out to give her a once over. She is having wuite a bit of back, hip and leg pain now. She told the nurse that her pain was a 5 on the 1-10. SHe said it was constant and often interferes with her daily life. However, she refuses to take anything other than 1 Ibuprofen before bed. They told her how their goal was pain management and that there was no reason for her pain to be at a 5. She just smiled and nodded and then promised to take 2 Ibuprofen! Mercy! I know that it is her body but I don't want her to be uncomfortable. I guess we shall see. She is having lot of trouble sleeping and also even just sitting. she seems to have lost more weight and I am very worried abou her. Thanks for listening.
