Thanks. God love her, she is a stubborn woman! I'm not sure if she doesn't want to know, doesn't feel it is serious or what. I have tried to no avail....she dismisses it. I will try thr sample that you mentioned. As for liquids, in April she was in the hospital with low sodium due to too much liquid, so I'm not sure.
Yes you can get a UTI she really does need to get it checked. But as I hsve found you can not always get people to do what they need to do. But do tell her that if UTI's are not treated promptly they can be very serious. Why don't you see if she will just let you take in a sample and drop it off. If you call the doctor they will often times give you the container and let you obtain the sample and bring it back to them or the lab. Do you know if she is taking in enough fluid?

Maybe a crazy question, but since Mama has had some urine issues, I have wondered. I've already gotten great advice on this, but wanted to update a tad. Apparently, the dark urine and odor hasn't gone away as she first told me. It kind of clears up some and then is back. She is determined she will wait until her appointment next week to get it checked. If it is a kidney infection, is it just that, or signs of something more? You know me, I'm already borrowing trouble, but I like to have a heads up.
