Dear Clara,

I am happy Bob is back home from his hospital visit and sorry you guys never made it to your holiday.

I wish Bob all the best for Gemz next Wednesday, I found this part of the chemo treatment to have no side effects except constipation because of the Zofran given along side for sickness.

I advise some sort of anti constipation syrup to be taken once a day to keep the bowels moving for a few days from Wednesday to prevent this.

Wishing Bob symptom free chemo and all the strength required to get through his treatment....

Thinking of you both...

Leigh

Clara, I am sorry Bob missed the family trip to the beach. I hope he will have more opportunities.
Nausea and poor appetite seem to be caused by so many things. Around here the prime suspects are antibiotics, pain medication, and constipation. Chemo I understand changes the taste bud so that nothing tastes right. We found that ginger helps settle the stomach and if you eat a small piece of sugared ginger before eating it helps take away the metallic taste that bothers people. Others may have found ways of helping a poor appetite. Julie
