Hi,
Just wanted all to know I celebrated yesterday with an egg nog latte (decaf). My doctor said my results couldn't be better...perfect score...no cancer showing. I was also very pleased
that he spent the necessary time responding to my list of
questions...and I always have a list. I suspect I always will. I think by now he has learned I am not his ordinary patient but hey, I told him I was better informed than most because of my almost daily visits to this site and forum.
He felt I was doing great in my recovery and said I seemed to be more aware, in tune with my body...I think we really have little choice in that matter if we want to stay healthy. He did emphasis that those who have problems very often are not really doing a very good job of self maintenance. :
Well, that won't be me. I suspect that many of us who have been on this cancer journey now tend to lean more towards healthier life styles...although some of our partners will still eat, drink and be merry until they come down with some ailment themselves. I say at 50 the warranty has expired but like an older car, if we give the ole bod lots of TLC and we do the regular maintenance, we might even get better milage than the newer models. And my spouse is 7 years younger than I am...turns 50 this Jan. Melodie
