Melodie out of surgery and doing fine

Good for you Melodie, I applaud your strengh and pray you will continue to do well. My husband 67 goes in in August, so we are in the beginning of what is to come for us. But hearing your story and so many others helps soften the saddness we feel because of fear itself. Keep it up and hope you continue doing well... Ginger

OK...Day 5 and Melodies bowels have awakened....a definate cause for celebration!!!! We need balloons on this site!! Maybe a little confetti?
She's up and walking....her girlfriends are checking in on her as well as her daughter.
She's a a little nauseated today but thats not unusual post surgery.
So a good report all in all!!!! Pat

Patricia, It is so wonderful that Melodie has you as a confidant and supporter. You can truly relate to her surgery since you have already been through it yourself. Everyone likes to hear that things will get better when going through a rough time. You do a great service to all those who have invasive bladder cancer and those who have cystectomy. Your dry sense of humor gives me great comic relief at times. Please tell Melodie we are following her progress, thinking of her and envisioning a great recovery. Rosie

Day 3 and Melodie says Hi and thank you to all her supporters on this forum.
Today a little rougher...now on regular pain meds and trying to walk.
I promised her it would get better. Pat

Day 2 for Melodie...she actually called me tonight and was pretty chipper...mostly complained about the tube they had in her throat...she had a saddleblock for the pain so she's not in terrible discomfort. So she's progressing nicely.......Pat
