He needs an assessment as to where its coming from. I would definately consider it an emergency.

Dana,
Yes contact your uro or whomever is on call now.
You should call your doctor if you have any of the following symptoms:

Fever over 100.5° F
Shaking chills or sweating
Not making urine
Pink, red, cloudy and/or foul-smelling urine
Bloody discharge from your stoma
Redness, warmth, swelling or pus-like drainage at suture line
Loss of appetite
Nausea and vomiting
Diarrhea that lasts more than a few days
Belly, back or flank pain
Stoma looks darker or bluish-purple in color
Leg swelling or calf tenderness

He should not be passing clots. Remind me...does he have a neobladder?
Has he been lifting more than 10lbs which is about a gallon of milk?

Dana, I am not an expert in this area. However, most medical offices do have someone on call. Have you called the office number? They usually have someone call you back asap.

If not, a trip to the emergency room might answer your questions and it couldn't hurt. You would both feel better

Best of luck

Hello to everyone, its been a while since I have been on the forum, I have had a lot to deal with the last month.
Is really hope there is someone on the forum that can help me immediately, I do realize it is late.
Most of you know my situtation, my husband had his radical cystectomy about 6 weeks ago, he has been going really well, is back to work and feels as good as could be expected.
About 10 minutes ago however we just got quite a scare, he went to the toilet and urinated some blood as well as a small blood clot. This has not happened before and I am afraid he may have some internal bleeding from his intestines.
I think he hasn't been resting as much as he should the last week.
Can anyone help me now please, what should I do? Do we go to hospital? Has this happened to anyone else?
