Hi Rosemary,

I told the doctor yesterday about my problems.
He said don't take anything but Fleet enema.
His reason was you don't want to expand the bowels to much after surgery.
I’ll try the hot water like you and Jean talked about.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi,
Rosemary is right. Warm water is great. I put a couple of slices of lemon in mine and drink it as hot as I can stand it. Also, because I am very lax about eating the yogurt I got acidophilus from the health food store. 1/4 tsp. in a bit of water every morning on days when I know I will not be eating yogurt. They also sent me home with colace which is a stool softener and told me to take it every day.
Hope you feel better quickly.
Blessings....Jean

One more thing, try taking a glass of warm water on first arising in the morning, before you eat or drink anything else.  My Mom swears by this for constipation.

I've always heard that the bowels are the last thing to "wake up" after general anesthesia.

I hope it gets better.

Hey guys,

I'm not pushing this, but just letting you know what's out there.  I take something called All-Flora by "New Chapter"

This stuff could gag a maggot, so when you don't have an appetite, it might be hard to force down.
I take about a baby spoon dissolved in water.  My naturopath says it's awesome stuff.

Anyway, I can vouche for it's effectiveness against constipation first hand.  Not pushing you, but there is stuff out there that might help with the bowels and restoring balance of the intestinal flora.  I would recommend asking your doctor about it first, though.

Good luck, guys...

Hi Wendy,
Hi Wendy,
Glad to be home and get a good night sleep.

I got the orthotropic neobladder keeping my figures cross I adapt to it.

I found out today why the reverse flushing wasn’t working for me for the supper pubic tube in the hospital I was laying in bed at home I was standing up.

Also the super pubic tube was installed for a safety backup to the catheter to prevent blockage.

Your right on Wendy in the hospital yogurt was given to me everyday.
Will get back on it today.

Hi Sam,

Good ideas Sam.
Now I got constipation so I’ll fix that hopefully the appetite will get better too.
The staples came out today glad I didn’t see how they put them in.
