Ed..is it oral or at the base of the tongue?
Just read about a doctor at Mt.Sinai..it was actually on the back of the NY Times Magazine section last week...a head and neck specialist who cured one of the writers of SNL.
I wish you the best with your radiation.

Ed,

If I'm not on, it usually just means things are really busy at work.

You ramble whenever you want to ramble! Although....it didn't seem to be rambling to me. :)

But then again, I'm probably one of the biggest ramblers so probably not the best judge of that. :D

Good luck with the treatments! Positive vibes are coming from every direction.

Mikey Boy...
There you are..I was getting worried about you and hoping everything is well.
I read all the final posts on our friend Leigh and was touched when reading the effect it had on you. I know everyone misses him...but I sure know you do Mike...

Yes Warren has me thinking, so today while at Sunnybrook Hospital getting a CT Scan of my chest..I stopped in for a chat with the operating Dr that did my RC to ask a few questions. The first was if this new primery cancer had anything to do with my bladder cancer and again was told no. His brief explanation had to do with the distinctions between my previous bladder cancer type and the one I have now. The previous was CIS as well as urethrial (sp) something where my new one is squamish cell. I wish I had a better grip on the right questions to ask and the significanse (sp) of the answers.
In the morning I meet my Medical Oncologist to discuss his treatment plan. Shortly after this meeting I'm catching a plane with my sweetheart to my family home in PEI for a huge family and friend party before the sh*t hits the fan with all these radiation and chemo sessions.
I am glad I live in the land of positive thinking and the powers afforded me or I might just crumble in fear. The knowledge that many brave people have preceded me sure helps and as well Mike as this forum..a place to come to when I need a boost of bravado and knowlege as well as just plain old 'one person feeling for the other' even though in many ways we are strangers.
Thanks for letting me ramble on today and these past few days...I can assure you..it helps!

All the best..

Eddie

Hi KC..Darn glad to have you in my court again!! Our 58th birthday is coming up soon again..June 1st. I will be doing a radiation session at noon on that day, so if you would..wish me a happy one and I'll wish you one too. Just fitting on my new gloves and getting ready to start my battle on tuesday. I have an amount of fear of the unknown..but I also have a whole lot of the 'not quitting' power in me as well. I will never use the words 'bring it on'..that would be outright silly..but I am starting to feel the power building and building inside that place or realm where battles take place. I do not want this fight. But I promise you on this day a battle shall be fought! Negativity is a disease and I pray to God that I never ever get that one!!

Thanks for your support Pal!

Ed!

WHAT THE HECK! Dude! Who needs this following so closely on the other?

I'm with Warren on the big question though. What kind of cancer is it? If it's not in the reports, then you certainly want to ask.

Hope to hear you get this knocked out quickly and that radiation does the trick!

You've got the right attitude and your marching on the path for treatment, so keep that all going and find out what the heck it is.

All the best!
