Great post George!

Glad you've recovered so quickly from the hip surgery. I agree with you that attitude is the key. You can't let things get you down or you wind up letting things keep you down.
Bounce back, put one foot in front of the other, and keep on keepin' on!

Just so you know... YOU are one of those wonderful people that contribute to this site and inspire and help others! :)

Thanks for all you do and for sharing!

Mike

THREW AWAY MY CANE YESTERDAY....WALKED AROUND MIRROR LAKE IN LAKE PLACID. I AM THROUGH WITH THIS PAST YEAR! I AM HAPPY TO SYA THAT.

I just had to get this out. From Bladder cancer to hip replacment, this has been a year. Some of my friends have said that I should ask God "Why Me?" But my response is "Thank God!" I will now spend the rest of my life spreading CHEER and Goodwill to all. Well, maybe not all... I am not giving any cheer to the miserable, mean spirited, bad attitude, lazy doomsayers ......... OK OK, I'll even include them.

As a sidenote, My surgeon, and Physical Therapist both think I should be tested for some medical experiment. My recovery from both surgeries has been rapid and "amazing" They want to knwo my secret.... I have GOALS..... and a Schedule that must be attended to. But my real secret is the strength I receive from the people on THIS website. You have all faced the demon, cancer and spat in his face and pushed on with life. Sure, it has been scarey, and painful, but we have moved from strength to strength and pushed ourselves through.

I want to thank all of you for your support and I hope to return that support in the future as it is needed.

Thanks............ George
