I'm going to second that.
"GO TO USC"

They are such pros at USC/Norris, and bladder cancer is something they deal with day-in and day-out. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go there.

Thanks all.

I could go to sites and get lists and all, but I wanted to know from us Users, what doctors we valued in the LV area. So, I got what I needed from Grandpa Donut for the urologist in LV.

If it is determined that he has cancer, I am pretty familiar with what will be needed next. If it is Norris, AZ, even up here in Seattle where I had my surgery; I will help my parents understand their options. Also, I can provide information that will mitigate the risks.

I was in Las Vegas in late February visiting my parents. They told me about the head of Nevada's higher education system having bladder cancer. In the TV report the chancellor explained he was going to Norris, because that was one of the top Hospitals for Bladder Cancer. My mom said the news swayed the story to sound like he was a traitor in leaving the Las Vegas area to get treatment in So. Cal.

Here is a link to a story on the Chancellor

Rick,

I am glad Peter jumped in, we spoke with him thru his surgery in Scottsdale, that particular group worked real well for him.. seems you have alot of choices to pick from now!!!! I agree with Pat, the local for the initial appt. then moving on to the more specialized........ Good luck and take care....Ginger

Rick, the American Urological Association has a nifty little tool for locating Urologists in a geographical area. It will pull up all Urologists but will give you areas of interest. Look for those that have a primary interst in Cancer.

Good luck and keep us updated
