Thank you all for your responses. I am at a state where I am thinking positive now instead of worrying. Your posts helped me alot. I feel not alone in worry and the common sense posted to me has made me think clearer.

I want to send many positive prayers to you both in your wait for results and good news.

Thanks again, and know you helped me find a bit of common sense in a jungle of worry.

I will update after Friday's results. I thank you again.

A few years ago they found abnormal cells in my urine.
They took a look inside my bladder and remove a small I'll call it pouch filled with mucus. It went for biopsy and it was really nothing. Allot of worry cause you don't know. You need to think positive tell her also her doctor isn't an expert in this field.
They say things maybe they shouldn't cause they don't know.
I been waiting since May1 06 dealing with an Uro who I thought knew what he was doing. He didn't. Yesterday I went to the UOW and met with a Doctor who deals with this stuff everyday. The result is he's starting over with a new biopsy next week. The first doctor I saw wanted to remove every bit of plumbing I have. This still could happen but at least he’s looking else where first. If you have a High Ranking University Medical Center in your area you may want your mom to see someone there.

Good luck

Jeff

Be hopefull,

I'm in a similar position at the moment, been treated for recurring UTIs, then to be told I had 'abnormal cells' in my urine, then a lump in my kidney, and finally they said there was some abnormal tissue growth in my bladder.

I'm waiting for the biopsy results at the moment, but i'm hopefull it could be anything. There are loads of things they could describe as 'tissue', it could be a benign growth, it could be scar tissue caused by chronic UTIs, there are many options much less worrying than cancer.

I know it's much easier said than done but an optimistic outlook will be the best thing for you and your mum now and god forbid if she were diagnosed.

Hi

They are doing some more tests on Friday. They have sent her to a specialist to see what is there. Her doctor didn't tell her much because he told her he didn't know anything about what it was. Just that there is "tissue" in her bladder, whatever that could mean. Tissue to me though would be a tumor wouldn't it?

Thanks for your response.

Momof3,

That really isn't much information to go on. Is he planning to take a look in there? What's the next step?

:(

I'm brand new here, please excuse my mis-types or any mistakes I make on this posting.

My mom went to the dr today to have a follow up to her appt last month. For the last year (May/05) she has been having bladder "infections", or so the doctors have treated as such.

Last week she had an ultrasound and today the doctor told her she has some tissue in her bladder. What does that mean? Is that what they would call a tumor? I am so worried for her and it scares me to see her worried. After raising 8 children she has never shown a sign of fear or sadness. We call her the Rock because she is tough as nails.

The tissue is at the bottom of the bladder near where it leaves the bladder. I would really appreciate any words of wisdom, encouragement or common sense, as I can't seem to think straight I am so afraid for her.

Thanks for your time.
