Vanderbilt has an excellent reputation for bladder cancer treatment. Hope you get an appointment soon!

Thank you so much for your reply.
We are waiting to hear from Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. for an appointment now.
Hopefully we can get in soon and get some encouragement from them.
I will update when possible.

So sorry to hear about your husband’s diagnosis. Just a few ideas/suggestions

If he is not being seen at a major medical school urology/oncology department or a National Cancer Institute designated Center, you should seek a consultation at one if at all possible.

Some of the latest non-surgical treatments involve chemotherapy and some very new immunotherapy drugs. You should ask his doctors about these.

Best of luck to you both

Sara Anne

My husband had a bladder tumor removed last week.
Biopsy results are, it's muscle invasive, which urologist was surprised about, he thought he was able to remove all of it.
Bladder removal is not in the cards due to his age (81) and a number of other health issues.
Heart, diabetic, etc.
We haven't seen the oncologist yet, but was wondering what opinions might we have?
Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you.
