I was diagnosed in 2018 with non-invasive, low grade papillary urothelial carcinoma and have been on aggressive surveillance during past year. My uro-oncologist cauterized 2 small tumors during each cystoscopy, almost a year apart. Now he is recommending I start intravesical therapy (gemcitabine). Has anyone had a good experience with a consultant who may recommend specific MDs for this type of cancer, or who provides second opinions on order of treatments recommended?
