Blood Tests

I assume you are talking about bladder cancer! The answer for bladder cancer is NO. There are urine tests that indicate that there MIGHT be a problem but all they really say with a positive result is that more diagnostic work needs to be done. They are notorious for giving a false positive (ie indicating cancer when there is none).

If there is any indication that there might be cancer in the bladder (for example, blood in the urine, repeated symptoms of a UTI but no bacteria present) a urologist will do necessary exams such as cystoscopy and CT scans of the the urinary tract. The only definitive test for bladder cancer is a TURB (transurethral resection of the bladder) where bladder tissue is removed under general anesthesia and sent to a pathologist for analysis.

Are there any specific components that will show cancer in a routine blood test?
