All you know from this is that there is a growth in your bladder. Your urologist will need to do a TURB (transurethral resection of the bladder) to determine exactly what it is. A TURB is usually done as an outpatient procedure under general anethesia, although occasionally a patient needs to stay overnight. The tumor will be removed as well as samples of the surrounding tissue and sent to a pathologist for analysis. Only after the path report comes back (and this can take about a week) will the exact diagnosis be known.
What, if any, additional treatment is necessary can only be decided when the urologist and you know what the growth is. It might be bladder cancer but it also might be something else.
IF it is bladder cancer, this can be highly curable depending on the exact diagnosis. Waiting for the result is difficult because of all the uncertainty. The only advice from someone who has been there...done that...is not to cross any mental bridges until you have to!!
Wishing you all the best
