Thank you for replying, and so glad that you are doing well. I have had 4 turpts plus bcg and interferon, but it still comes back. Did you have any serious complications, and what type of diversion did you choose? I am in the Boston area. .

Hey George .. just thought I would jump in here .. we are the same age so fully understand your situation. I underwent this procedure along with removal of my prostate in June 2018. I won't tell you it is a piece of cake because it certainly isn't. But it is manageable. Being an old military guy, the term we used a lot applies; adjust and adapt. And you will be doing a lot of that.
Anyway just wanted to touch base and let you know that you are not alone in the fight. Feel free to contact me any time and there are several folks on this forum that will assist you. Good luck snd Blessings,
giff

I am 78 years old and may have to have a radical cystectomy. I am very nervous, and was hoping someone could help lessen my fear about the surgery and outcome.

Thank you.
