Click on 'search' at the top of the page and enter the term "artificial sphincter". The subject, and the personal comments of those using or considering same may be of help to you. At the least, they could help you come up with a list of questions and concerns to discuss with your care team.

neobladder was created by JoeU1954
It seems almost certain that I will have to have my bladder removed and am trying to decide whether to have a neobladder made or to utilize a pouch. I prefer to go the neobladder route, but have some concerns about urinary incontinence. I have read that an artificial sphincter can help with that problem.
Has anyone had a neobladder created and had an artificial sphincter inplanted in their body? Pros/cons????
