I have had 15-18 cystos (lost track on the total). Nothing to get worked up over. I won't say they are fun but, not really painful. Uncomfortable for 20-30 seconds as my URO passes through the prostate. And, yes, I second Sara Anne's and your decision on the cysto. The gold standard (or standard of care) is CT scan, cytoscopy with urine cytology. It will answer 98-99% of any questions on why one might pass blood. A lot of times it is a stone, infection etc and not BC.

Good decision! My father "only had one incident of blood in urine" and was found to have advanced kidney cancer. Whatever, better check it out.

Although you didn't give much information, I do have a question for you. Why ever would you NOT have a cystoscopy? It is a no-big-deal exam and could put a number of your uncertainties to rest.
