Thank you so much for your response sara-anne. I just want to make this transition as easy as possible. I hope we can both get used to this. I feel like there aren't that many people on this sight with an ostomy which makes me feel like they all have a neobladder or ostomy. I hope we made the right decision
Your mother's hospital will have an on-staff ostomy nurse. During your mom's hospitalization, the nurse will work
with her (and you if your mother desires) to determine exactly what she will need for her particular situation. Every patient is different and it takes an "up close and personal" approach to know what type of bag and adhesive will work. There is nothing you can do ahead of time. Your mother will be in the hospital long enough to learn what she will need and how to deal with it before she comes home.
You are to be commended for your devotion to your mother's care!

Hello all!
I want to be prepared for my moms RC. Can someone please give me a checklist for what I will need to be prepared? Ex: bags, tape, etc?
Thanks in advance
