It is from the irritated lining of the bladder sloughing off. I always had it after BCG and liked to think that I could
see the cancer flushing down the toilet!

I have just had my sixth monthly bcg treatment and have some haematuria, as previously. Just wondering, what is the cause of the blood. Is it from physical irritation from the catheter, or is it a response by the bladder lining to the vaccine ?
