Depending on how you define "alternative treatments", there are many that can help as you wind down the path of the "standard treatments". Anything you can do to strengthen your body and immune system, reduce the load of inflammatory influences and, many would recommend relaxation, wellness self-imaging and stress reduction. Always with doctor approval, of course.
I'm sure you have been told that early intervention saves lives. Caught early, superficial bladder cancer had a high control rate. Unlike many other cancers, we get a second chance to beat the disease with bladder removal, as long as we act before there is muscle invasion and/or the chance of metastasis.
So, yes, alternative options, taken with and under medical supervision can only help your body beat the disease and/or keep you in better shape while undergoing treatment and prepared, should surgery be needed. I have altered my lifestyle since diagnosis; out with the fats, the junk food (mostly), become a "juicer", and greatly increased physical activity to tolerance. I'm hoping it helps, it sure makes me feel better, I hope it will help you too.

I'm 71 and have had much success in the past with alternative treatments and an autoimmune disease so I'm trying a macrobiotic diet, energy therapy, tumeric, and qi gong to help me through my newly diagnosed bladder cancer. I'm also considering gerson therapy. I'd love to hear from others who have tried these or others and how they did with them.
