Hello, I had small cell carcinoma chemo at Dana farber, surgeon dr Trinh at brighams. I had a large tumor. Was not very hopeful and now I am no evidence of disease. Both hospital and drs and nurses were amazing. I am 1 year and 2 months since surgery. RC/IC. With small cell they must do chemo first and then the surgery. MD Anderson is really the best hospital for small cell and Dana farber worked with them to give me what I needed for chemo. Very rare cancer for bladder. If you have any questions please ask. Take care Laura

Hello YSA199,

I moved your post to its own thread so that it will receive more attention.

My wife Cynthia was treated at The Claire and John Bertucci Center for Genitourinary (GU) Cancers at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center - www.massgeneral.org/cancer/services/centers/GU.aspx

Hope that this information might help you.

My father was recently diagnosed yesterday with a rare form of bladder cancer, most likely small cell. They found an aggressive neuroendocrine tumor as well.

My question is in regards to treatment. How did you find your oncologist? and does anyone know of a great bladder cancer specialist in Boston, MA?
